Where to Find 5X and 6X Clothing That Fits Beautifully

Shop styles whose product page lists Plus Sizes 0X–6X. Many Catherines bestsellers reach 6X, but some collections stop at 5X or 34W, so check each piece.

Where can you buy 6X clothing?

Start with styles that print “Plus Sizes 0X-6X” on the product page. At Catherines, many of the most-loved pieces in our best-selling plus size styles reach 6X, across pants, tees, tanks, tunics and blouses.

Catherines sizes span 14W–40W and 0X–6X, and fit is designed for plus and extended sizes rather than scaled up from misses. The catch is that size spans are set style by style, so a collection name alone won’t tell you whether 6X is stocked.

How do you confirm a style really goes to 6X?

Check the size line in the product details before you fall for a color. It takes about ten seconds and saves the disappointment of finding your size missing at checkout.

  1. Find the size line. Scroll to the details and look for the exact wording, such as “Plus Sizes 0X-6X.” If it ends at 5X, 6X isn’t offered.
  2. Match your length. The 6X span applies to Regular lengths. Petite and Petite Short versions often stop earlier, at 3XWP or 5XWP.
  3. Read the fit note. Some styles run large or are cut generously, which changes which size you choose.
  4. Check your color in 6X. Not every shade is in stock in every size, so confirm the size is selectable in the color you want.

Which bestsellers come in 5X and 6X?

All seven of the bestsellers below list Plus Sizes 0X-6X in Regular length. Together they cover a full everyday wardrobe: a pant, three knit tops, a tunic and two blouses.

The pant: Suprema®

The Suprema® Pant is our #1 style, with over 1 million units sold. It’s a pull-on stretch-cotton knit with an elastic waistband, deep pockets and a straight leg, made to hold its shape wash after wash. It comes in Regular, Petite, Petite Short and Tall inseams. For more 6X-friendly options, browse all plus size pants and confirm each size line.

The knits: Suprema® tees and tank

The same Suprema® stretch-cotton makes up the short sleeve V-neck tee, the 3/4 sleeve V-neck tee and the Suprema® Tank. The tank is relaxed through the hip with a longer body and wide straps, built to layer under blouses and cardigans.

The tunic: Easy Fit

The Easy Fit V-neck tunic is 100% cotton with a generous silhouette, longer length for coverage and side slits at the hem. Its product page notes it runs large, so size down if you’re between sizes.

The blouses: georgette and crepe de chine

Our georgette tie-sleeve cafe blouse is light and airy with a no show-through finish and hidden inside buttons for extra coverage. The Timeless Blouse is a crepe de chine buttonfront with a hint of stretch that floats over curves. Both wear buttoned or open over a tank.

Where do sizes stop short of 6X?

Sizes most often stop short in specific collections and in Petite lengths. Dresses and bottoms are the categories where you’ll most often find a style that doesn’t reach 6X, so check those size lines with extra care.

  • Some sweaters stop at 5X. The Country Village Sweater Cardigan lists Plus Sizes 0X–5X.
  • Women’s-sized collections follow a different scale. Right Fit® jeans and pants are cut in 16W–34W, so they aren’t sized in the X range at all.
  • Petite lengths run shorter in range. Most Petite bestsellers end at 3XWP, even when the regular length goes to 6X.

What should you look for when you need upper-arm and hip room?

Look for product descriptions that say relaxed, generous or floats over the body, and for shapes with built-in ease like side slits. Those cues matter more at 5X–6X than the size label alone.

  • Hip room: the Suprema® Tank is relaxed through the hip, and the Suprema® Pant skims from hip to hem rather than gripping. Tunics and blouses with side slits add movement at the hip.
  • Upper-arm room: 3/4 sleeves on relaxed bodies, like the georgette blouse and the 3/4 sleeve tee, give easier movement than fitted long sleeves. Wearing a blouse open over a tank adds more ease.
  • Coverage without bulk: longer lengths, like the Easy Fit tunic, cover the hip, while the georgette’s hidden buttons keep the front smooth.

How do you build a 6X outfit from these pieces?

Pair one Suprema® bottom with a knit or a blouse, then layer. Because these pieces were designed to coordinate, every combination below uses styles that each list 0X-6X.

  • Everyday ease: Easy Fit tunic over the Suprema® Pant, with flats.
  • Office-ready: The Timeless Blouse buttoned over the Suprema® Pant, with a structured bag.
  • Weekend layers: georgette blouse worn open over the Suprema® Tank and pant.
  • Simple and polished: 3/4 sleeve Suprema® tee with the matching pant in a coordinating color.

Frequently asked questions

Does every Catherines style come in 6X?

No. Catherines sizes run 14W–40W and 0X–6X overall, but each style has its own span. Some cardigans stop at 5X and Right Fit® pants are cut in 16W–34W, so read the size line on each product page.

What numeric size is 6X?

Catherines does also publish simple numerical size equivalent for 6X, in addition to our own sizing system, on our Size Chart. Measure yourself and compare against the size chart linked on the product page you're shopping.

Do petite lengths go up to 6X?

Usually not. Most petite versions of these best sellers stop at 3XWP; the Suprema® Pant's petite and petite short lengths go to 5XWP. Regular lengths are where 6X lives.

Should I size down in Easy Fit tunics?

The product page says this style runs large and recommends sizing down if you're between sizes. That makes it a smart pick if you're at the top of 5X and want room without excess fabric.

Is 6X available in every color?

Not always. Availability varies by color and size, and popular 6X colors can sell through. If the shade you want is greyed out in 6X, check another color of the same style.
